9 November 2017 – Alt de Ample

Another good turnout for today’s walk, including David and Sabine on their first walk with the group since the summer break.   Also good to welcome Susan back after a three week break

It did not rain as forecast, but it is getting colder day by day

Everyone, except David, started off with an extra layer of clothing

Although we start the walk in Jalon, it is not long before we are out in the campo

And already more than one outer layer has been removed

By the time we reached our banana stop everyone was pleasantly warm

We were now on the top of the ridge and an easy walk away from our picnic

David made sure we had plenty of stops to have a drink and admire the view

And the view up the valley was well worth admiring

This is my favourite part of the walk, reasonably good path and no climbing

Probably the best example of mozarabic terracing in an area well known for it 

One last climb up to our picnic site

I had forgotten what a perfect sun trap it was here

And the views now were down the Jalon valley to the coast

It was so pleasant that no one was in any hurry to get walking again

The return journey is down…….

Followed by an easy path through the woods 

The end of another excellent walk in very pleasant company
