Chris
led today’s walk, which was new to us, being a combination of two walks we had done previously
I
don’t think it has a name, hence “short walk”
It
took us four hours and was just under 6km, however it did have two ascents with
a total of about 300 metres.
The first location I recognised was this stone wall with stepping stones
Despite the climb we still had jackets on when we reached the highest
point
The
walk may not have been familiar, but the views were
Most
of this area is well marked, but not this part of this walk
We
had to look for cairns to follow, including this amusing “smoking” one
We
then joined the road which leads down to Font de Axia
However
we soon left it and climbed up to join the track to Castel de Axia
We
then had a very pleasant, if slightly early, lunch break
Followed
by the winding downhill track back to Pedreguer
It was nice to do a different walk in a familiar and well-loved area
Thanks
to Sylvia for this photo
